Lazio extended their unbeaten run in Serie A to six games over the weekend with a 1-0 win away from home at Empoli which in turn helped maintain Lazio’s push for a possible top four finish this season and the promise of Champions League football next term.

Within these six unbeaten games, Lazio have picked up three wins and three draws, but perhaps more important is the fact that all of these recent wins were captured on the road with victories gained at Atalanta, Genoa and aforementioned Empoli.

The three stalemates were produced on home soil at Lazio’s Stadio Olimpico where Marco Baroni’s side have actually managed to pick up just the single win from their previous 10 home games along with slipping to two defeats.

Interestingly, Lazio have now drawn seven of their last 10 home games.

Juventus lifted themselves back into the top four of the Serie A table thanks to picking up a point in a 1-1 draw away from home at Bologna and the Old Lady will hit the road again on Saturday evening to take on 6th placed Lazio.

After posting a five-match winning streak from early February through to the start of March which included wins on the road at Como and Cagliari, Juventus have since experienced a period of mixed results in the Italian top flight.

Indeed, the visitors have captured just three wins in their last eight games, suffering three defeats and being involved in two draws as well, so the prospects of an away win here seem a little uncertain.

However, the bigger picture shows Juventus have lost just three of their last 21 outings on the road in Serie A, picking up six wins and no fewer than 12 stalemates.
