2025-11-06 - VfB Stuttgart vs Feyenoord

A Sports Betting Preview by Niko

VfB Stuttgart v Feyenoord
Football; UEFA Europa League: 04th Round
MHP Arena – Stuttgart
Thursday, 06th November 2025 - kickoff 21:00 CET

VfB Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart are enjoying a really solid season overall, and that confidence should carry on into Europe.

They were winners of five games in a row before losing 3-1 to RB Leipzig last week, but that defeat should keep them more alert now.

VfB Stuttgart have been reliable at home — tough to beat, full of energy, and usually quick out of the blocks in front of their fans. The MHP Arena has become a tricky place for visitors, and VfB Stuttgart’s balance between a well-organized midfield and lively attack keeps them competitive against anyone.

Ermedin Demirovic and Tiago Tomas have been excellent in the attack, both scoring three goals apiece in their games so far.

That said, their UEFA Europa League run hasn’t been perfect. They won in the first round against Celta Vigo, but then lost twice against Basel and Fenerbahce without scoring.

Now, I expect them to be more proactive, pressing high and trying to make Feyenoord uncomfortable from the start.

Feyenoord

Feyenoord are one of those sides you can never fully count out. They’ve had an up-and-down stretch recently, good signs going forward, but also some defensive errors that have cost them points in Europe.

In the Dutch Eredivisie, they have been brilliant. They won 9 of 11 games, most recently beating FC Volendam 3-1 as a nice warm-up for this game.

However, in Europe, they are less impressive and kinda unpredictable. Feyenoord either look sharp and scores early or struggles to find rhythm if the opponent leads the tempo.

So far, they have lost their opening two matches against Braga and Aston Villa without scoring before beating Panathinaikos 3-1 in the last round.

The Dutch side’s attacking quality is undeniable. Their Japanese striker, Ayase Ueda, has been incredible, scoring 13 goals in 11 games, including a brace last weekend. Sem Steijn is another threat from the midfield, scoring six times in nine matches.

The Betting Verdict

VfB Stuttgart’s home form (five straight wins) and confidence give them a slight edge, but Feyenoord’s ability to hit on the break means it won’t be comfortable.

If I had to call the result, I’d back VfB Stuttgart to edge it 2–1. They are strong at home and have that momentum you feel when a team is building up to a European campaign.

Feyenoord will have their moments, I do think they’ll score, but VfB Stuttgart look just that bit more settled right now.

Still, these European nights are often unpredictable, and many factors affect the games.

Instead of a winner, my main betting recommendation for this match is to go for over 2.5 goals, considering how both sides have played this season, wherever they played.
