A Sports Betting Preview by Auls

Everton v Fulham
Football: English Premier League
Saturday 8th November 2025 - Kick Off 3pm

Everton

David Moyes was clearly fuming on the sidelines after seeing his Everton strikers continue to struggle in the final third and his mood had not improved much at the end of the 1-1 draw with Sunderland. The Number 9 position is clearly a problem as far as Moyes and the Everton fans are concerned and the team are being held back by a lack of composure in the final third.

The point gained has left The Toffees in 14th place in the Premier League table, and they are 5 points clear of the relegation zone. There is room for improvement as far as the home form goes with Everton putting together a 2-2-1 record at Hill Dickinson Stadium where they have scored and conceded 5 goals.

Everton have been struggling for wins and the draw at the Stadium of Light on Monday evening means they have won just 1 of the last 8 games played in all competitions. They had been unbeaten in 5 games at Hill Dickinson Stadium in all competitions since the move from Goodison Park, but that run was ended emphatically when Everton were beaten 0-3 by Tottenham Hotspur most recently here.

Nathan Patterson and Jarrad Branthwaite remain long-term absentees. David Moyes will be hoping Iliman Ndiaye is passed fit having had cramp issues on Monday.

Fulham

Marco Silva will have wanted to see a big response to recent poor performances produced by his Fulham team and would also have been looking for the team to show they are not going to be dragged into a relegation scrap. He got all that and more as Fulham thumped Wolves 3-0 at home last weekend and just pushed his team away from the bottom three.

They are now up to 15th in the Premier League table and 4 points clear of the bottom three and Fulham will be looking to build on that win over Wolves. It was a victory produced at Craven Cottage, but Fulham have had a much tougher time away from home and they travel to Merseyside with a 0-1-4 record in away League games played this season.

Fulham had lost 4 Premier League games in a row and they had slipped to 17th in the table, but the whole squad are going to be feel much better about themselves after snapping that run. They needed Penalties to beat Wycombe Wanderers away from home in the League Cup Fourth Round and means Fulham have not won any of 6 away games played in all competitions this season. Most concerning is the fact that Fulham have lost their last 4 away Premier League games and conceded at least twice in each defeat.

Antonee Robinson is set to miss out, but an otherwise full Fulham squad will be ready to travel for this fixture.

Head to Head

Everton took four points from Fulham in the Premier League last season, but the majority were earned in an away win in May.

The last 5 games hosted at Goodison Park against Fulham have all ended without an Everton win, although they have snapped a run of 3 consecutive defeats in back to back 1-1 draws.

Prediction

If you wanted some idea as to how tight, competitive and ultimately challenging it is to predict Premier League games, take note that only 9 points separates 2nd placed Manchester City to 17th placed Burnley.

With that in mind, it is a Division in which a couple of wins could see a team flying much higher up the League standings than the overall form may suggest.

At the same time, a couple of defeats would see a team slumping back towards the bottom of the table and both Everton and Fulham will be looking to find some consistency in their performances.

Everton had some very good chances to take a commanding lead on Monday night at Sunderland, but failed to punish the hosts and were clinging onto a point at the end of the ninety minutes. That makes it a single win in 8 games in all competitions, while Fulham snapped a 4 game losing run in the League with a big victory over Wolves.

Home form is proving to be a lot more important over the first ten rounds of fixtures than it has been in the last couple of years, while set pieces are hard to predict and have been a real key to the outcome of matches.

It is likely going to be a key part of this fixture and the overall quality within the game may be lacking.

There are aspects to like from both teams, but Everton's striker situation is a glaring issue, while Fulham have simply not been as confident away from Craven Cottage.

The goals being conceded by Fulham away from home are hard to ignore and you do have to feel that Everton will have the superior chances, even if you cannot trust either striking option to come in and put the finishing touches to those opportunities.

Everton's poor recent home record against Fulham is also hard to look past, but the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium could change those fortunes. The underlying numbers in home games have suggested Everton have been playing well enough to find a way to the three points, especially with Fulham's away defensive record in mind, but backing the home team outright is not easy to do with their inefficiency in the final third in mind.

They should have enough to win, but backing Everton on the Asian Handicap to return half the stake in the event of a draw looks the most prudent approach to take.
