After reaching the Euro 2024 Finals, Georgia fans may have been hoping it could be the spark of a golden period in international football. There was a time when it was tough for any nation to win a World Cup outside of their own continent, but that has changed in more recent years. Two European nations have won World Cup Finals played outside of Europe and Spain will be aiming to match their achievement in 2010 in South Africa as soon as they confirm the place in the tournament to be held in North America next summer.

One more win should do it for Spain who have won all of the World Cup Qualifying matches in this Group and with their vastly superior goal difference compared to Turkey effectively giving them a 4 point lead.
