Corinthians will be desperate to avoid a third defeat on the trot in all competitions when they take on Sao Paulo in this midweek encounter in Brazil Serie A at their Neo Química Arena having slipped to recent back-to-back defeats at the hands of Bragantino and Ceara respectively.

Thursday night’s hosts had previously strung together a promising three-match winning streak under former Brazil national coach, Dorival Júnior, with victories gained over Atletico MG, Vitoria and Gremio but their recent slump in form suggests this upcoming encounter may be a challenging one for the hosts.
