Southampton will be bidding for a fourth consecutive win in the Championship on Tuesday night when they welcome an out-of-sorts Leicester City outfit to St Mary’s Stadium having collected recent victories at the expense of QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic respectively - the latter being a 5-1 demolition of The Addicks at The Valley.

Leicester City were expected to be amongst the main challengers for automatic promotion back up to the Premier League from this season’s Championship campaign but it certainly hasn’t worked out that way so far for The Foxes.

Indeed, Leicester City sit in a disappointing 10th place in the Championship table having previously slipped to three defeats on the trot at the hands of Hull City, Millwall and Blackburn Rovers, but nevertheless, Leicester City manager, Marti Cifuentes, has engineered a response from his side in recent weeks.

The east midlands club bring a three-game unbeaten run into this upcoming encounter down on the south coast as The Foxes held high-flying Middlesbrough to a 1-1 draw before posting back-to-back wins in the second tier over Norwich City and Stoke City respectively.
