Blackburn Rovers find themselves languishing at the wrong end of the Championship table with the hosts sitting in a disappointing 20th place prior to this upcoming encounter with Millwall at Ewood Park, along with having managed to pick up just one win from their last seven games overall.

Blackburn’s only highlight in recent weeks came in the form of a 2-1 win away from home at Lancashire rivals Preston NE and although Valérien Ismaël’s side have picked up points by way of draws with Wrexham, Ipswich Town and Oxford United, all in 1-1 stalemates, Rovers have also been dealt three damaging defeats in the process as well.

Losses at the hands of Derby County, QPR and Portsmouth respectively have dumped the hosts in trouble down near the relegation zone where they are only three points above the drop zone.

By contrast, Millwall occupy 4th place in the Championship table as The Lions are flourishing under Scottish manager Alex Neil, although they slipped to a heavy 3-1 loss at home to surprise package Hull City last weekend.

Millwall had previously strung together a four-game unbeaten sequence though in the Championship which consisted of three wins and a draw; victories gained at the expense of Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton and Bristol City will still give the London outfit plenty to feel upbeat about their chances at Ewood Park on Saturday lunchtime.

The visitors also possess a pretty good looking away record of 4-4-2 12/14 which suggests Millwall should at least hit the back of the net in Saturday’s clash.
