The drama created by Mo Salah's comments following the 3-3 draw with Leeds United may have put Arne Slot and the Liverpool squad under some pressure, but they have produced two very important wins since then. Things seem to have settled down between manager and the star player, although Salah is now away with Egypt and Arne Slot is looking to guide his team to a positive run without him.

Defending the Premier League title looks increasingly unlikely, but Liverpool picked up three points last weekend and have moved up to 7th in the standings and just 2 points behind the Champions League places. The Reds have a 3-1-4 record away from home in the Premier League where they have scored 13 goals and conceded 15.

Liverpool had lost 3 games in all competitions either side of the November international break, but they head to North London unbeaten in 5 in all competitions and having won 3 of those matches. Consecutive wins over Inter Milan and Brighton and both with clean sheets has to have given the players a real boost in confidence. Liverpool are unbeaten in 3 away games in all competitions since losing at the Etihad Stadium and have won twice in that time.

Mo Salah is away at the African Cup of Nations, but Conor Bradley is back from a suspension. Another concern for the manager is the injury picked up by Dominik Szoboszlai, which leaves him doubtful, while Jeremie Frimpong is edging closer to a return.

Thomas Frank and Arne Slot may feel they deserve more time, but results dictate that and Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have not been producing enough positive results to keep fans happy.

In reality Arne Slot was always going to be given time after helping Liverpool win the Premier League title last season and his team look to be coming out of a poor period. They are unbeaten in 5, although Slot is going to be without a number of important players in this one which means he will be relying on some of the improved defensive numbers of the last couple of weeks.

Arne Slot has to be confident his team have enough to contain a Tottenham Hotspur team that have struggled for balance under a new manager.

Some of the performances have not been very eye-pleasing and the Tottenham Hotspur fans have made their feelings clear about that- last weekend Spurs were beaten 3-0 at Nottingham Forest to shift the pressure back onto Thomas Frank.

This season Tottenham Hotspur have been really poor in home matches against Chelsea and Manchester United, while they were second best at Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.
