Fleetwood Town will be eager to extend their current unbeaten run in all competitions to five games when the Cod Army take on fellow mid-table occupants, Gillingham, when the two sides clash at Highbury Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Three wins out of these last four games will give Pete Wild’s side plenty of confidence having despatched Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Trophy, Luton Town in the FA Cup along with a 2-0 win away from home at League Two strugglers, Newport County, last weekend.

Overall results have been very encouraging for Fleetwood Town who have slipped to just one defeat in their last eight matches in all competitions and with the likes of experienced forwards in their attacking personnel such as James Norwood and Ched Evans, Fleetwood look a decent bet here.

Gillingham have been stuck on stalemates in recent weeks in the English fourth tier as Gareth Ainsworth’s side have been involved in five draws on the trot including points gained on the road at Shrewsbury Town and Colchester United.

These stalemates have prevented The Gills from lifting themselves further up the League Two table and indeed, the Kent outfit have found wins very hard to come by for the last few months.
