Luton Town will be desperate to halt a four-match winless run in League One on Boxing Day when they play host to Wycombe Wanderers at Kenilworth Road after being involved in three draws and a defeat in recent weeks.

Despite recording an emphatic 4-0 home win against Exeter City in the EFL Trophy, Luton Town have managed to capture just one win in their last six matches overall, while the bigger picture shows The Hatters have collected just two wins in total from their last nine games in all competitions.

Nevertheless, Jack Wilshere’s side still occupy a spot in the top half of the League One table in 8th place and five points behind the play-off pack but a win on Boxing Day could reduce the deficit to just a two-point margin.

Wycombe Wanderers sit in 9th place and just a point below their upcoming hosts and Michael Duff’s side received a welcome boost last weekend in the third tier after recording a 2-1 home win against Bolton Wanderers as the visitors keep tabs on the top six teams.

However, Wycombe have still only managed to collect just one win in their last six matches in all competitions which includes being dealt three defeats and being involved in two draws as well.

Recent losses to Northampton Town (EFL Trophy), Exeter City (FA Cup) and Plymouth Argyle (League One) suggest the visitors should be avoided in terms of the win markets but the goals markets (or rather the lack of goals), should be considered for this upcoming encounter at Kenilworth Road.
