Bromley extended their unbeaten run in the domestic fourth tier to nine games on the weekend as the Kent based club collected all three points in a 2-1 home win against promotion-chasing Swindon Town.

The hosts will be keen to not only make it 10 games unbeaten on Tuesday night against visitors Crewe Alexandra but to also pick up an all-important three points as Andy Woodman’s side will be going in search of a ninth win in 10 games overall.

Bromley currently sit top of the League Two table where they hold a six-point lead over 2nd placed Salford City and even more importantly, an eight-point cushion over 4th placed Cambridge United prior to this week’s midweek fixtures, while the hosts still remain unbeaten at home with a 9-4-0 28/14 record.

Crewe Alexandra sit in a mid-table position of 11th place in the League Two table ahead of this tough looking trip down to Kent to take on the league leaders Bromley, and the visitors will head into this clash on the back of a 1-0 defeat away from home at Notts County.

Crewe had previously put together a four-match unbeaten run in all competitions which included victories in League Two against Cheltenham Town 4-1 and Barrow 3-1 respectively in recent times.

However, it should be noted that both of these comprehensive victories were achieved on home soil at Gresty Road but results away from home so far in this season’s fourth tier campaign have plenty of room for improvement as The Railwaymen possess an away record of 4-2-7 16/16.
