Hull City will be eager to get themselves and their play-off aspirations back on track on Saturday lunchtime when The Tigers take on QPR at the MKM Stadium having suffered recent back-to-back defeats.

Losses to Bristol City 3-2 at home in the Championship followed by a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Chelsea in the FA Cup have slowed down Hull City’s progress but nevertheless, Sergej Jakirović’s side still occupy 5th place in the table and remain in contention for a possible top six finish this season.

QPR now sit in a mid-table position of 13th in the Championship standings as the London club’s play-off challenge has seemingly dropped off a cliff in recent weeks having managed to capture just one win in their last seven matches overall.

That rare highlight came in the shape of a creditable 2-1 home win against Coventry City but despite beating the league leaders, defeats in the Championship at home to Wrexham and Blackburn Rovers respectively have placed The R’s four points adrift of the play-off pack.

An indifferent and disappointing away record of 4-6-6 14/22 suggests QPR could have their work cut out if they’re to get anything out of this upcoming trip to the MKM Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
