Millwall picked up a sixth win in seven games in the Championship last weekend as The Lions registered a 1-0 home win against Derby County which also made it four wins on the trot for the London club.

Recent wins against Birmingham City, Preston NE, Hull City and aforementioned Derby County have helped lift Alex Neil’s side into serious contention for possible automatic promotion and the hosts will be wanting more of the same when lowly Blackburn Rovers visit The Den on Saturday afternoon.

Having lost just once in their last nine matches overall in the English second tier, Millwall’s momentum heading into this weekend’s action looks ominous for the upcoming visitors but the hosts have been dealt a few losses on home soil so far this season within an overall home record of 11-3-5 27/21.

Blackburn Rovers have yet to see a change in fortunes since new manager Michael O’Neill took over the reins at Ewood Park as the Lancashire club as Rovers have failed to win any of their last four games in the Championship.

Despite picking up back-to-back wins against QPR and Lancashire rivals Preston NE, Blackburn have suffered subsequent losses at the hands of Bristol City, Derby County and most damaging of all, a 1-0 loss at fellow strugglers Oxford United.

As a result, Blackburn Rovers still find themselves enmeshed in a relegation battle towards the bottom of the Championship table where the visitors hold a slender one-point margin over third from bottom Oxford United, but an away record of 6-3-9 16/23 does give the visitors hope of a result of some sort at The Den.
