They already collected more points than they had after the entire last season (with 8 games still to go), and have lost just twice – both games against Bayern Munich. Still, the bad thing is that they will end the season trophy-less, again.

Borussia Dortmund’s dominance over the last few months is undeniable. They won at HT/FT in 7 of their last 10 Bundesliga games.

They also scored 2+ goals in all their last 12 Bundesliga matches, and won 10 of their 12 games played in Dortmund.

Hamburger SV

Hamburger SV are inching towards Bundesliga safety, remaining unbeaten in four of their last six games.

Last week, they drew 1-1 against Koln, reaching 30 points and sitting six points above the relegation playoff spot.

Interestingly, Hamburger SV are the only team besides Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund that is still without an away defeat in this second part of the season (two draws, two wins).

However, if we want to be picky about it, all those unbeaten away games were against teams from the lower half of the Bundesliga.

The Betting Verdict

Borussia Dortmund have won five of the last six duels against Hamburger SV, with their first match this season ending in a 1-1 draw.

I expect a different game this time and believe Borussia Dortmund will win by scoring at least a couple of goals.
