Sunday’s hosts in the Brazilian Serie A Betano, Athletico PR, will be going in search of a third league win on the trot at their Arena da Baixada when they play host to early strugglers Botafogo.

Botafogo meanwhile sit fourth from bottom in the Serie A table and amongst the early relegation zone ahead of this tricky looking outing to face Athletico PR at the Arena da Baixada on Sunday night, but they too recorded a welcome win last weekend.

A 2-1 victory away from home at Bragantino halted a dismal and worrying four-match losing streak in the Brazilian top flight for the visitors who had previously succumbed to defeats at the hands of Gremio, Fluminense, Flamengo and Palmeiras respectively.

An early and concerning away record of 1-0-3 6/9 though suggests Botafogo could be gearing themselves up for a tough night at the office against their 6th placed hosts on Sunday especially as Athletico PR have won three of the last four meetings at home against Botafogo.
