Sheffield United’s winless run in the Championship was extended to four games following a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to play-off hopefuls Wrexham but Chris Wilder’s side will once again hold supposed home advantage when they welcome Swansea City to Bramall Lane on Good Friday.

Sheffield United had previously slipped to a 2-1 defeat away from home at Norwich City but although The Blades have picked up points in recent draws with West Brom and Birmingham City, the recent losses have overshadowed those stalemates.

Recent results overall for Sheffield United have been pretty inconsistent as the Yorkshire club have managed to pick up just three wins from their last nine games whilst also being involved in two draws along with being dealt four defeats as well.

An overall home record of 8-3-8 30/23 holds no guarantees for The Blades here.

Swansea City meanwhile slipped to a second league defeat on the trot in the Championship last weekend after being soundly beaten 3-0 at home by promotion favourites Coventry City which followed a local derby 2-0 defeat at Wrexham.

However, it should be noted that prior to these two defeats, The Swans had been beaten just once in their preceding five league matches which also included collecting important wins at the expense of Bristol City, Stoke City and Portsmouth, the latter being a 2-1 win at Fratton Park.

Swansea City have struggled on their travels so far this season though as their away record of 5-2-12 indicates, so the handicap looks the best option for the visitors in this one.
