Four of the top six in the Eastern Conference have been confirmed and you have to believe the Atlanta Hawks are going to be the fifth team that will be competing in the First Round of the Playoffs. However, the Number 6 Seed looks up for grabs over the next few days with 2 games separating the Toronto Raptors (43-35) and the Number 10 Seed Miami Heat (41-37).

Not only do those teams face each other on Tuesday, but they play each other again on Thursday and these meetings could begin to separate out those who are still in with a chance of a First Round spot in the post-season and those who have to think about the Play In Tournament.

In reality it is going to be tough for Miami to move into the top six simply because they have to pass so many teams to do so, but two wins in the last three have given them late momentum. Prior to that, the Heat had been in a real slump and this is an experienced group that will understand the importance of still finishing as high as they can even if they were to miss out on the Number 6 Seed.

A top eight finish would mean the Heat have two shots to make the Playoffs through the Play In Tournament and, importantly, the second of those games would be hosted in Miami if they need to play that decider.

Motivation should be high in the Miami camp, but the same can be said for the Toronto Raptors who have lost three of the last four games to offer an opportunity to those chasing them.

The Raptors do have a 0.5 game lead over three teams below them in the standings, but they also have an extra game to play and that could be crucial.

Win on Tuesday and Toronto will feel they are going a long way to earning the top six Seed, but lose, and you have to worry about the momentum that this team is putting together.

It should be a high-scoring game and the layers have set the total for around 240 points- both teams have been producing Offensively without looking all that secure on the other side of the court and so this has the hallmarks of being another regular season game that comes down to the very last couple of minutes of the Fourth Quarter.

There are a couple of factors that may this game hard to call.

The Heat are a team that will push for the big three pointers and have continued to have success delivering those, but they are facing a Toronto team that have defended that part of the court pretty well in recent games.

On the other side of the court, the Raptors are an efficient three point shooting team, but they simply do not take as many as some of the other teams in the NBA as there has been a slight culture shift around the League. However, this has been a big weakness of recent Miami performances with teams averaging 43% from the three point distance and making almost 18 per game against them.

The team that imposes that part of the plan the best is going to come out on top and Toronto can take confidence from the fact they have won both games against Miami this season. Both were played on the road, albeit before the turn the of the year, but that will give the Raptors confidence ahead of two very important games against the Heat in April.

Miami continue to be a team that can be very difficult to read and the layers have found that out this season.

However, the edge here has to be with the Toronto Raptors as they look to just retain some distance over the chasing pack in the Eastern Conference top six race.
