Southampton picked up a fourth league win on the trot in the Championship on Tuesday night with a comprehensive and highly impressive 5-1 thrashing of Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground which in turn has lifted the south coast side up into the play-off pack.

Recent victories over the likes of Coventry City, Norwich City and Oxford United have contributed to Southampton’s timely 13-match unbeaten run in the domestic second tier which consists of no fewer than 10 victories along with three draws.
