Hartlepool United returned to winning ways in the National League on the weekend as The Pools recorded a welcome 2-1 home win over Forest Green Rovers which halted a winless run of four matches in the non-league top flight which included two defeats at the hands of Boreham Wood and Wealdstone respectively.

Hartlepool had shipped a total of 10 goals in total during these two recent losses but it’s worth noting that both losses were incurred on their travels while recent results at home have seen Tuesday night’s hosts put together a three-match unbeaten sequence.
