Two late goals have changed the narrative around this final League fixture for both teams involved- Hibernian have an opportunity to finish 4th and earn a spot in Europe by winning at Easter Road on Saturday. A late goal earned them a victory at Ibrox, which has moved Hibernian right behind Motherwell, who had been undone by an injury time Penalty against the other Glasgow giant on the same night.

If the fixtures had finished prior to those injury time goals, Motherwell would have secured 4th place in the Premiership table, but there is only a single point between them and 5th placed Hibernian going into the final round of games.

Hibernian are hosting, but have lost the last 2 at Easter Road, while Motherwell have lost 5 of the last 7 away games played.

A narrow edge has to be given to Hibernian after producing back to back away wins over the last week, but they have not beaten Motherwell in three previous tries in this campaign.
