Augsburg couldn't have dreamed of a better Bundesliga start. They followed their opening 3-0 win over Schalke 04 with a 1-4 away win over Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring four times in the second half. That leaves them top of the Bundesliga with seven goals from their opening two games.

Fabian Rieder has already picked up where he left off last season, assisting in one and scoring in the other league game. Augsburg also have Michael Gregoritsch leading the line and Arijon Ibrahimović making an immediate impact, giving Manuel Baum's side plenty of options in a direct attacking lineup.

Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen's opening-day defeat at SV Elversberg now looks much less concerning after they put four past Union Berlin. They were 2-0 up by half-time and added two more after the break, with Patrik Schick and Ibrahim Maza among the scorers.

This is still a difficult away assignment, particularly against an Augsburg side that already beat Leverkusen 2-1 at the BayArena in April. Rieder scored both goals that day, including the 97th-minute winner.
