Hertha Berlin have been the team to beat so far. 2.Bundesliga leaders have won all six games and lead the table with 18 points and a 17:7 goal record. They have already beaten VfL Heidenheim 4-1, Eintracht Braunschweig 3-5 away and Dynamo Dresden 1-2 in their latest match.

The Berliners have also found ways to win when things have not gone smoothly. Hertha Berlin fell behind early in Dresden but turned the game around, and Stefan Leitl's side now have a chance to make it seven wins from seven.

The home record is perfect as well, with wins over Heidenheim and Magdeburg. The only concern is that Hertha Berlin have conceded in five of their six league games, so Greuther Fürth should have opportunities if they can take them.

Greuther Fürth

Greuther Fürth sit 12th in 2.Bundesliga with six points from six games. Their record is one win, three draws and two defeats, with nine goals scored and 11 conceded.

Their away form is actually much better than their overall position shows. Greuther Fürth are unbeaten on the road, drawing 1-1 at St. Pauli, beating Energie Cottbus 3-4 and drawing 1-1 at VfL Bochum.

That makes me a little less interested in simply taking Hertha Berlin at a short price. Greuther Fürth have already shown they can score away from home, while Hertha Berlin have conceded in most of their games.

The Betting Verdict

I expect Hertha Berlin to win, but I don’t think Greuther Fürth will make this easy. The visitors are still unbeaten away and have scored in all three road games.

The Hertha Berlin win is around 1.57-1.60, which is still playable for me given the way they have started the season. I’m expecting another win for the 2.Bundesliga leaders, but probably not a clean sheet.
