Five games, five defeats. Borussia Mönchengladbach are bottom of the Bundesliga table and have already conceded an incredible 18 goals. The latest setback was a 2-1 derby loss to Köln, which also marked Alexander Blessin's first game in charge.

The numbers are bad, but there's reason not to write Borussia Mönchengladbach off completely. They have scored seven goals despite their poor run, and three of their five defeats came by just one goal.

The positive for Christian Ilzer is that TSG Hoffenheim have scored nine league goals. The problem is their defense, which has conceded 13. They should find chances against a Borussia Mönchengladbach side that keeps giving goals away, but TSG Hoffenheim must also improve at the back.

TSG Hoffenheim will be without Bernardo, who is suspended, as well as Albian Hajdari and Max Moerstedt, who are unavailable. Even so, TSG Hoffenheim have more reason to fancy their chances than the table alone suggests.
