Dynamo Dresden have a quick chance to make amends after Sunday's 3-0 defeat at Holstein Kiel. They dominated possession but failed to create enough clear chances, and Niklas Hauptmann missed a penalty that could have made it 1-1. The final score was harsh, but the lack of a clinical edge was a real problem.

Dynamo Dresden must be more decisive against Schalke 04. Playing at home should help, and the home crowd will expect a response after the setback in Kiel. I can see this turning into a tight cup game. Dynamo Dresden should respond after the heavy defeat in Kiel, but Schalke 04 have also been short on goals and may be reluctant to open things up.

Under 2.5 goals is the valuable option I like. Schalke 04 have scored only once across their last three matches, while Dynamo Dresden struggled to make their possession count last Sunday. The risk is that an early goal could change the match, but I don't expect either side to take many unnecessary chances early on.
