Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in their last five matches across competitions and will be happy with the 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich last weekend. They also beat Werder Bremen 3-2, Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 and Sabah 1-2 in their previous games, so Niko Kovac's team have been getting results even when things don't always go their way.

Their Champions League campaign has had its share of ups and downs. Borussia Dortmund opened with a 3-2 win over Villarreal, lost 1-0 away to Bodo/Glimt, then got back on track with a 1-2 victory at Sabah. Serhou Guirassy has already scored four times in the competition and will be the main threat for Real Betis to deal with.

Playing at Signal Iduna Park is another big advantage. Borussia Dortmund have looked much stronger at home, where they remain unbeaten across competitions, with five wins and a draw.

With Guirassy in good form and leading the attack, Borussia Dortmund should create plenty of problems for Real Betis in this game.

Real Betis

Real Betis have been excellent in the Champions League so far, winning all three of their matches. They beat Lille 2-3 away, defeated Porto by the same score at home and followed that with a 1-0 win over Feyenoord. Nine points from nine have put Manuel Pellegrini's side in a great position.

They have also picked up some decent results in LaLiga. Real Betis drew 0-0 away to Celta Vigo before beating Malaga 2-1 this last weekend. However, their recent 2-5 defeat to Barcelona showed they can struggle against teams with enough quality going forward.

Troy Parrott, Isco, and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli give Real Betis pretty good attacking options, and they have scored in every Champions League game so far. They won't be easy to keep quiet, but this is a difficult away trip against a Borussia Dortmund side that has found its rhythm.

The Betting Verdict

Real Betis have made a great start in Europe, but I fancy Borussia Dortmund to get the job done here.

Borussia Dortmund have been in good form lately, and that 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich should give them plenty of confidence. With the home crowd behind them and Guirassy in good scoring form, I think Borussia Dortmund have the edge.

I am backing Borussia Dortmund to win at 1.73. Real Betis will likely score here, but I see the hosts having enough quality to take all three points.
