Trabzonspor have been in good form domestically and arrive after a 2-0 home win over Gaziantep. That followed an entertaining 3-4 away win over Rizespor, giving them six wins in their last six matches across all competitions. They have also been strong in Europe, beating Finnish side KuPS 2-4 away and Scottish side Hearts 2-0 at home.

The Turkish side have looked particularly dangerous going forward. Franculino Dju and Paul Onuachu give them a strong presence in the box, while their midfield and wide players have provided plenty of attacking support. We should also not forget Liverpool legend Mo Salah, who is their leading scorer with 8 goals this season.

Playing at Papara Park should also help, as Trabzonspor tend to be a difficult opponent in front of their own supporters.

They will be looking to maintain their perfect start in the UEFA Conference League. Two wins from two have given Trabzonspor a good basis, and another positive result would put them in an excellent position for the rest of the league phase.

SC Freiburg

SC Freiburg travel to Turkey after a 1-2 away win over Augsburg in the Bundesliga. They also beat Wolfsburg 3-2 in the DFB Pokal, so their latest results have been encouraging after a difficult spell.

Before those wins, however, SC Freiburg lost 3-1 at home to Bayern Munich and suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat away to Monaco in the UEFA Conference League.

Julian Schuster's team have shown they can score goals, but their defensive displays have been inconsistent. They also lost 2-1 away to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, which makes this another demanding away assignment.

Vincenzo Grifo remains an important creative player, while SC Freiburg will also look to make the most of their set-piece opportunities. They opened their European campaign with a 3-2 win over FK Jablonec before losing to Monaco, so they will be keen to get their campaign back on track.

The Betting Verdict

Trabzonspor have been getting results and look particularly dangerous at home. SC Freiburg have improved with their two recent domestic wins, but their latest European away performance against Monaco was a concern.

I expect the hosts to make this difficult for the German side, especially with the atmosphere at Papara Park behind them.

I am leaning towards Trabzonspor or Draw (1X) at around 1.50. Trabzonspor have won their last six matches and have already picked up two European victories.

SC Freiburg can make this a competitive match, but I would rather back the hosts to avoid defeat than take a chance on either side winning outright.
