Sydney FC have a great chance to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Perth Glory in the A-League when they return to their WIN Jubilee Oval on Sunday evening to take on Adelaide United.
Sydney were handed a heavy 3-1 defeat at Perth Glory as the current league leaders laid down another significant marker in their quest for the minor Premiership, while Sydney were left licking their wounds and now sit six points adrift of Perth.

Despite losing recent matches at home to Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix, Steve Corica’s side have since bounced back in style with with wins over Brisbane Roar and Central Coast Mariners, winning 2-1 and 5-2 respectively.
Another factor in Sydney’s favour here is the form of their new signing and striker Adam le Fondre who has already netted 11 goals along with fellow forward Brosque (6 goals).
Adelaide United sit in 5th place but four points adrift of Sunday evening’s hosts, Sydney, as they prepare for their difficult looking trip to NSW although they bring a four match unbeaten run into this clash.
Recent wins against Newcastle Jets (away) and Melbourne Victory (home) along with draws with Western Sydney Wanderers and Wellington Phoenix have maintained Adelaide’s push for a top six finish, but it needs to be noted that three of the four aforementioned results were achieved at their Coopers Stadium.
Away from home though, Adelaide possess a decent looking away record of 3-0-1 8/4 which includes wins at Central Coast Mariners, Wellington Phoenix and Newcastle Jets, while forwards Goodwin (5 goals) along with Mileusnic and Ilso (3 goals apiece) look the most likely for the visitors.
