Sporting Lisbon are in fourth spot as they welcome Benfica in second spot who are behind leaders Porto by five points. Even though they are not playing at the level expected of them, but they still have a chance to win the title. They are trailing leaders FC Porto by some five points so it is not under their control how the title is decided, but have to hope that the leaders make some mistakes.
In one month;s time they will come up against FC Porto and that match could decide the title. That means they cannot afford to lose this match now even though they are not in the best of shape. They were beaten by Porto in the semi finals of the League Cup, but they have a four games winning run in the league at the moment. They managed to beat Boavista by 5-1 in their last match.
Their striker Seferovic is in good form, while the likes of Jonas and Fejsa are rated doubtful for this match.
