A Sports Betting Pick by Auls
Football: South Korea: K League 2

Preview
One of the big problems for Seoul E-Land in 2019 which consigned them to the bottom of the K League 2 was the poor defensive performances as they conceded far too many goals. That was an area in which the club were hoping to improve in the off-season, but Seoul E-Land have yet to keep a clean sheet in 2020 and have already conceded three goals through the first two games.
They only earned 25 points last season, but the positive to the early season performances this time around is that Seoul E-Land remain unbeaten despite playing the two clubs who dropped out of the K League last season. Those results have to be built upon as Seoul E-Land look to start showing improvements on the pitch after a couple of difficult seasons at this level.
The majority of the points Seoul E-Land earned last season did come at home where they finished with a 4-7-7 record. Only the top three clubs scored more home goals than this side, but Seoul E-Land finished with the worst goals allowed record in the Division and the two goals conceded last week to Gyeongnam will have been a concern.
Seoul E-Land have not won any of their last 14 League games going back to last season as the defensive problems have hurt them. That is underlined by the fact the side have scored at least twice in 4 of their last 5 games in the K League 2, but they have only earned 3 points from a possible 15. Seoul E-Land have drawn 5 of their last 6 games at home and they have not won any of their last 7 here despite scoring at least twice in 5 of those fixtures.
They will be going into this weekend as the slight favourites against the Jeonnam Dragons even though the latter are considered a more realistic contender for promotion at the end of the season. The Dragons beat Jeju United 1-0 last week and have four points on the season having played the same two opponents that Seoul E-Land have competed against, although Jeonnam were a touch fortunate to come away with the points last week.
Jeonnam Dragons finished with a 5-6-7 away record in the League last season where they scored 20 goals and conceded 24. If they are going to finish in the top four, the minimum expectation for them, Jeonnam will know they have to be stronger than that and build on the goalless draw earned at Gyeongnam to open the season.
The side have only lost 1 of their last 9 games in the K League 2, while the strong end to the season in 2019 has helped Jeonnam Dragons win 6 of those games. The Dragons are unbeaten in their last 4 away games in the League and have won half of those.
It was the Jeonnam Dragons who took four points from the two League games hosted by Seoul E-Land, although the last time they met here ended 2-2.
Prediction
Both teams will be relatively happy with the way they have opened the 2020 season and especially as they have both played the two relegated clubs from last season.
That should give Seoul E-Land and Jeonnam Dragons some confidence, although picking a winner here is not easy.
Instead I can't ignore the odds against price of seeing at least three goals shared out when you think of how Seoul E-Land have played both going forward and defensively for a number of months now. The last 7 games they have hosted have finished with at least three goals shared out, including a 2-2 draw with Jeonnam Dragons at the end of last season.
The Dragons have been involved in some tighter games, but Seoul E-Land should push the tempo of this one and I will back at least three goals to be shared out.
The Pick :
Seoul E-Land 2-1 Jeonnam Dragons
