Montpellier grabbed an impressive 3-1 win away from home at Metz last time out in the French top flight which set the record straight for the hosts who had previously suffered back-to-back defeats against Rennes and Lyon, but Montpellier will be pushing for a second win on the trot here.

Clermont had made an impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign as they picked up back-to-back wins against Bordeaux and Troyes but the visitors have managed just one win in their subsequent 14 matches overall.
In addition, Clermont have failed to win any of their last seven matches on their travels and this poor sequence of results also include five losses, so Clermont look to have their work cut out in this encounter.
