Lazio's season is rapidly declining and they're the first team to drop out of the European chase. And they did so in style -- they're at the 10th position now following a period of 2 wins in 8 rounds. Now they're even in danger of dropping further if Udinese, Parma and Torino will have motivation to join the upper half of the league.
When you look at the roster it's not difficult to understand why this is happening to Lazio. They started the season with some traditional recruitment of proven Serie A players, which is a problem in itself, but now they ended up with a full roster of subpar players that normally fill the number on the pitch. You're expected to have one or two of those -- Lazio has at least six. Let's look at their forward line in their 4-3-3.
Daniel Maldini, the unproven attacking midfielder, is playing as the striker in this team because they have no one else. Captain Mattia Zaccagni is a quality player on the left wing. Gustav Isaksen is on the right, valued a lot but he doesn't really do much to win games.
It's the same in midfield. The currently injured Toma Bašić, valued at €2.50m, was a revelation and a standout performer, and then there are expensive players like Nicolo Rovella and Kenneth Taylor who don't produce.
There is very little talent here, and on the other hand this isn't a team of workers either. Lazio needs a serious rebuild.

As Inter unexpectedly dropped points with a home 1-1 against Atalanta yesterday, if Milan wins here the distance to Inter will be reduced to 5 points and we started this round with 7. This is the break Milan was hoping for. What remains now is to confirm that break with their own win, and then wait for another opportunity -- they'll need to win out and see Inter drop points two or three more times in the remaining nine rounds. Chances are indeed slim.
Milan is a sloppy team in defence and in offense (midfield is fine). This side is known to concede goals far too easily, especially against relegation candidates, and on the other end they truly need a ton of good chances to finally produce a goal. Milan is the polar opposite of clinical finishing. It was Milan's hope that Niclas Fullkrug will be something similar to Olivier Giroud, but he didn't fit in at all. The 33-year-old on loan from West Ham has scored once in 12 appearances. So Milan will continue playing with two wide forwards, Leao and Pulisic, as a pair of strikers.

Milan is a 1.95 favourite and it makes sense, let's say Milan has a roughly 50% chance to win here. Maybe a bit better than that. You know how it goes with Milan -- they struggle to score and even when they do, fans are sweating about their defence managing to keep a clean sheet.
That being said, Both Teams To Score: NO is priced at 1.80 while the Under 2.5 Goals is priced at 1.72. We can probably expect a slow game as both sides will try to keep it low-scoring. We're looking at a 0-1 or a 1-1 here.

This will probably be a true Italian derby, snail pace, lots of tactics, very few openings and when they do come the chance will be missed. There will likely be two or three big chances to score in the entire match and only one will be scored.
Milan will have the upper hand as the superior team but Lazio will keep it close through determination and physicality alone as they don't have much else. Bet on the Under.
