Terek Grozniy (9th)
Traditionally another Russian Premier League week-end is summed up in the capital of Chechen republic. Local Terek has resumed their winning traditions and is aiming to climb further up the table. With the series of consecutive games against Krylia Sovetov, CSKA and Zenit – a positive result against Rostov becomes absolutely vital.
In the previous round Terek had a walk through against practically relegated Khimki in Moscow and easily got a 1-2 victory. Team’s top-scorer Shamil Lakhialov raised his goal tally to 10 with yet another penalty shot. 30 year old striker has been in terrific form lately and has even attracted Guus Hiddink’s attention as the Dutch coach paid a visit to the stadium.
Terek has no injured or suspended players. Georgiev, Omelyanchuk and Zabavnik were all involved in WC qualifiers.
Rostov.Rostov-na-Donu (12th)
Rostov played arguably their best match against Moskva in the previous round. Despite traditionally missing a whole bunch of regulars – Oleg Dolmatov’s team went in front 2-0 at 50 minutes.
But another series of sloppy defending gave guests the chance to equalize. Rostov can consider this to be a very unfortunate result.
In the end, though, they should take the blame for making things so complicated before the last rounds of the season. Rostov is just 4 points above the relegation zone and has some really difficult fixtures in the schedule.
Oleg Dolmatov should be happy to see a number of his regulars finally come back to full training: Korean midfielder Hong-En-Cho, Serbian defender Ivan Zhivanovic’, Russian midfielders Sergey Kuznetcov and Evgeniy Lutsenko. Hong-En-Cho will not be risked at the artificial pitch in Grozniy, though.
Betting advice
I enjoyed the quality display by Rostov in their 2-2 draw against Moskva. With a number of regulars back I would give them a chance to at least get a point here, although Grozniy is not the friendliest of places to visit.
Terek on the other hand go into the match with 2 consecutive wins. Taking into account their rather unstable form - perhaps it's time for a more modest result.
