Bookmakers News :: Don't play at small bookmakers - More punters taken for a ride in UK.

Four related Isle of Man companies 138.com, 12Bet, TLCBet and Fun88.co.uk have all failed to payout Cheltenham Festival winnings after they all offered out special deals ahead of the four-day horse and then suffered big losses during the racing event.

Of the 28 races, 10 favourites won, and UK bookmakers around the country took at hit as punters cashed in on their good fortune. Or at least the did if they bet at bookmakers on OUR RECOMMENDED BOOKMAKER LIST.

Unfortunately, four bookmakers ( 138.com, 12Bet, TLCBet and Fun88.co.uk) have been accused of closing down accounts for no reason and refusing to pay out thousands of pounds worth of winning bets.

UK punters have inundated the Mirror newspaper with messages telling that they have had their Cheltenham Festival winnings withheld.

These companies all have UKGC licenses, and some have even sponsored Premier League clubs (138.com - Watford, 12bet.com - Hull City) which seemed to give some punters comfort that these were reliable operations ... but as we have seen yet again there is no substitute for longevity in this business.

I've said it before ... but I'll say it again.

Don't bet at small sites. New bookmakers throwing out big specials and offers do not have the liquidity to take a big hit - and punters will get burned betting at these places.

It might be boring - although I find that collecting winnings never gets old - but betting with the biggest bookmakers is the best course of action in the long run - as you always get paid.
