English Premier News :: Fergie ready for Chelsea Challenge

Sir Alex Ferguson expects Chelsea to be fired up on Saturday after their dramatic Champions League encounter against Liverpool.

Avram Grant's side appeared to heading for a 1-0 defeat in Tuesday night's semi-final first leg, only for John Arne Riise to score an own goal in injury-time.

The unexpected turnaround was just what Chelsea needed as they prepare to face United at Stamford Bridge.

It also gave Ferguson a good idea of the challenge his side faces in this crucial match.

Victory for United will effectively secure the title for a second successive season such is their superior goal difference.

Like Chelsea, they are going for glory on two fronts, having held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw at the Nou Camp in their Champions League first leg tie.

United boss Ferguson told MUTV: "As far as the second leg is concerned, there is no doubt Chelsea's morale will have been boosted. It was a great result for them, particularly the time of the equaliser."

"They have a marvellous chance of getting to Moscow after that away goal. Liverpool have to score at Stamford Bridge and they are capable of doing that. It is still an even game and a tight one to call."
