NFL Football News :: NFL Odds: Saints-Falcons in Thanksgiving Day Clash

After scraping by the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, the New Orleans Saints (9-2 SU, 7-4 ATS) have all but clinched the NFC South.

They can make it official this Thursday when they visit the Atlanta Falcons (3-8 SU, 4-7 ATS) in the last of the NFL’s three Thanksgiving Day games, kicking off at 8:20 PM ET on NBC.

The Saints took a four-game lead on second-place Carolina by beating the Panthers 34-31 on Sunday, although they failed to cash in as 10-point home favorites.

PK Will Lutz kicked the game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock; Carolina counterpart Joey Slye missed two extra point attempts, as well as the potential go-ahead field goal from 28 yards out with two minutes remaining.

New Orleans LT Terron Armstead (ankle) left the game in the first half, which could be problematic going forward with LT Andrus Peat (arm) not expected back until late December.

Atlanta’s season went off the rails long ago, but things didn’t get any better on Sunday when they lost 35-22 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 4-point home favorites. WR Julio Jones hurt his shoulder during the first half, but appeared healthy enough after retuning in the fourth quarter.
