LIVERPOOL

Liverpool have no new injury problems as they seek to beat Belgian champions Standard Liege and move into the group stage of the Champions League.

Skipper Steven Gerrard, though not 100% fit, will play - he came off the bench in the 0-0 first leg match.

Sami Hyypia (hamstring) misses out and Javier Mascherano and Lucas have only just returned from the Olympics.

Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina saved a penalty in the first leg and a defeat for the Reds would be a financial blow.

But Anfield boss Rafael Benitez says his transfer plans do not depend on his side beating Standard Liege.

"I don't think, at least for me, that it will make any difference," he said. "We know the money is important but we are so close to the end of the transfer window it won't make a big difference. So the key for me will be to do the right things in the game."
