Dirk Kuyt scored a late winner after his miss-hit volley squeezed over Wigan's goal-line to hand the Reds a dramatic 3-2 victory at Anfield.

Antonio Valencia was sent off for a second bookable offence with fifteen minutes to go before Albert Riera levelled things up at 2-2.

Then with just five minutes remaining Kuyt popped up in the area to volley a goal that sneaked over the line via the post.

Kuyt's winner stole the limelight from Amir Zaki who put the visitors ahead twice, scored a goal of the season contender but still ended up on the losing side.
