Two outstanding goals from Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Internazionale Milano a 2-0 victory at Palermo that lifted the Nerazzurri three points clear of their rivals ahead of Sunday's games.

Inter struggled to operate at their optimum level and not for the first time were grateful to Ibrahimovic's goalscoring instincts for making the difference in this game.

The 27-year-old made his first telling intervention a minute after the restart with a curling effort from 20 metres out that struck a post on its way in, and he conjured up another fabulous effort with 62 minutes gone, firing a free-kick just under the crossbar to wrap up the points.
