NFL Football News :: New York Jets beat Tennessee 34-13

Brett Favre and the New York Jets put an end to the Tennessee Titans' perfect season.

Favre threw for 224 yards and two touchdown passes to lift the Jets to a 34-13 victory over the Titans, who suffered their first defeat in 11 games.

Tennessee (10-1), who were seeking its first 11-0 start in history and 14th consecutive regular-season victory, could mount little offence against the surging Jets (8-3), who notched their fifth straight win.

Leon Washington capped the upset by rambling 61 yards for a touchdown to give New York a 27-6 cushion with just over 11 minutes remaining.

Favre finished 25-of-32 for 224 yards with the two scoring passes and one interception. The three-time MVP added to his bevy of league records by throwing his 20th touchdown pass of the seasons.
