NFL Football News :: Chicago Bears pound St Louis 27-3

For the fourth straight week, the St Louis Rams knew their fate at half-time as they suffered yet another blow out loss.

This time it was the Chicago Bears who put together a half of dominance over the inept Rams, racing to a 21-point lead at the break en route to a 27-3 victory.

Rookie Matt Forte ran for a season-high 132 yards and scored touchdowns in each of the first two quarters as Chicago took a 24-3 half-time lead.

The Bears' defence returned to form after receiving a beating last week at the hands of division rival Green Bay, limiting the Rams to just 14 yards on the ground.

Kyle Orton completed 18-of-29 passes for 139 yards and a 7-yard touchdown to Jason McKie as Chicago avoided a three-game losing streak to remain tied atop the NFC North standings.
