International News :: Crouch and Wright-Phillips likely to miss England game vs Slovakia

Peter Crouch and Shaun Wright-Phillips seem unlikely to be handed a starting berth for England against Slovakia on Saturday.

For the second day running both Crouch and Wright-Phillips missed training on Wednesday with calf and ankle strains respectively and will be reassessed in the morning to decide whether they are fit enough to play a part in Thursday's session.

However, having missed half of the physical work the rest of Fabio Capello's squad have done since meeting up on Monday night, it is difficult to see either man being handed a place in the England side at Wembley this weekend.
