BOOKMAKERS WILLIAM HILL were celebrating a six figure windfall as a second high profile football match resulted in a 4-4 draw on Tuesday night, as Liverpool and Arsenal shared eight goals.

"As it was the second straight game involving Liverpool to end 4-4 we were apprehensive that we might take a big hit - but we can find just 18 bets in our 2200-plus shops, online and telephone businesses, which successfully predicted that scoreline." said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

"One, a Lark Lane, Liverpool betting shop customer, staked £40 and is £4000 better off, while the others ranged from 30p to £10, but in total we have paid out under £10,000 on that outcome and made a profit of getting on for half a million on the game" he continued.
