Champions League News :: Drogba and Boswinga bans reduced slightly on UEFA appeal - Chelsea fine upheld

UEFA cut Didier Drogba's Champions League ban from four games to three after an appeal in Nyon in Switzerland.

Chelsea teammate Jose Boswinga had a three-game ban reduced to two games after he appealed to European football's governing body against the severity of their bans.

The bans were after the Chelsea players ugly confrontation with Danish referee Tom Henning Ovrebo following Chelsea's exit from the semifinals of the competition earlier this year.

Both players also have suspended two-game bans still in place.

A $140,000 imposed on Chelsea for failing to control their players was also upheld.
