Dutch EreDivision News :: €7m Demy de Zeeuw will make debut for Ajax vs Groningen

New Ajax signing Demy de Zeeuw will make his official Ajax debut against Groningen this Sunday at 14:30 CET.

De Zeeuw recently joined the Amerstamd club fron reigning Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar. Ajax paid an estimated €7 million for the Dutch international.

Ajax head coach Martin Jol spoke about the upcoming match against Groningen during a press conference and refused to announce his starting XI. However, the former HSV manager made it clear that De Zeeuw will definitely be handed a starting berth.

"Demy de Zeeuw will 100 per cent certain play against Groningen. It remains to be seen whether Thimothee Atouba will play already. He will make his debut on the short term though.
