English Premier News :: Tottenham 1-3 Manchester Utd - impressive performance from the champions

Manchester United produced a superb display to fight back from a goal behind and win away at Tottenham, despite Paul Scholes' sending off.

Spurs went ahead when Jermain Defoe fired in an acrobatic overhead kick only 38 seconds in, but Ryan Giggs majestic free-kick levelled matters after 25 minutes.

Anderson fired home his first United goal from the edge of the box just before halftime, but things went awry for United when Scholes saw red for two bookings on 59 minutes.

Peter Crouch hit the crossbar for Spurs, but Wayne Rooney's solo goal wrapped it up for United with 12 minutes to go.
