Burnley's new Premier League status counted for nothing against Barnsley as Hugo Colace's late winner gave Barnsley a 3-2 victory.

Premier League Stoke City came from 2-0 down to beat Blackpool 4-3 in the Carling Cup tonight.

Liverpool and Arsenal also progressed against lower-league opponents.
