Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda sent Chelsea back to the top of the Premier League as their second-half goals gave Chelsea a deserved 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

The enigmatic Didier Drogba, who mixed comedy hall theatrics with threat, finally stopped falling over in an attempt to win free-kicks over late in the game and made an impact setting up the second goal while Liverpool's Fernando Torres was largely anonymous.

Arsenal produced a performance of flair and invention to hammer Blackburn 6-2 at the Emirates Stadium in London.

But the Gunners had to play well in attack as Rovers struck first when Steven Nzonzi headed in from Paul Robinson's free-kick before Thomas Vermaelen lashed in a 20-yard drive to level.

David Dunn then made it 2-1 to Rovers with a deflected shot on the half hour mark before Robin van Persie coolly slotted home from 12 yards minute later to equalise again.

Fabregas was involved again when the Gunners took the lead for the first time on 37 minutes, another precise pass from the Spaniard playing in Arshavin to slot in.

In the second half, Cesc Fabregas volleyed in after 56 minutes, and late on Theo Walcott slotted home and Nicklas Bendtner's spectacular drive sealed the victory.
