Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott and Blackburn keeper Paul Robinson have pulled out of the England squad for the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.

They have been replaced by Bolton centre-back Gary Cahill and Manchester City keeper Joe Hart, who is on loan at Birmingham, for Saturday's away tie.

Cahill, 23, and Hart, 22, have both played for England Under-21s, and the latter won a full cap in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago last year

England have already won a spot in next year's finals in South Africa and will also face Belarus at Wembley on 14 October in their final qualifier.
