World Cup News :: Thomas Muller wins Golden Boot at World Cup on tie-break rule

Young German midfielder Thomas Muller has won the Golden Boot at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Thomas Muller, Wesley Sneijder, Diego Forlan and David Villa for the Golden Boot were all tied with five goals - but the award went to Muller who took the boot on a tie-break rule due to having created more scoring assists.

Muller also picked up the Best Young Player award, while Spain captain Iker Casillas won the Golden Glove award for best keeper.

Uruguay's Diego Forlan has won the FIFA Golden Ball as the outstanding player at the World Cup.
