Italian Serie A News :: AC Milan claim Serie A title - first championship since 2004

AC Milan got the point they needed to clinch their first Serie A title since 2004 with a goalless draw at Roma.

AS Roma dominated the opening half but the Rossoneri were the better team after the re-start and had several chances, including Robinho's 46th-minute strike that hit the post.

The 0-0 draw at the Stadio Olimpico has left Milan nine points clear of Inter Milan, who host Fiorentina on Sunday, with two rounds of games remaining.

As AC Milan have a better head-to-head record in their games against Inter this season, it means the Rossoneri would still end up in first even if the two Milan sides were to finish level on points.
